Omo Agege Publicly campaigned for Tinubu with a loud Voice – Promise Ogumu

Former Ika north east house of assembly aspirant and the Presidential/Gubernatorial coordinator of Ika north east local government, in the 2023 election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr Promise Ogumu, has reeled out facts in response to claims by some faceless groups on social media platform that the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, worked against President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 elections.

Speaking with group of journalist in Asaba Delta state capital he said those behind the claim were simply out to get political patronage from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

See what he said: “My attention has been drawn to different media publications and National Television programs where some groups of cheapjack speculators are finding all possible means to get political patronage from President Bola Tinubu whose electoral victory they made no effort to contribute. Specifically those faceless groups from Delta north senatorial district spearheaded by those that has been suspended from our party for their anti party activities”

“These noisemakers and political vegetables who failed woefully in there various units, ward, local government, state constituency, federal constituency and senatorial district even when they were holding juicy political office’s at the federal level, they were not still able to win their small units for the party in Delta north are comparing themselves with Ovie Omo Agege who won his senatorial district, federal constituency, state constituency and polling units there’s no comparison between Ovie and those who are rampaging the media with “Omo-Agege campaigned against Tinubu” This political liabilities were nowhere to be found in all APC campaigns, and meetings and thus failed to deliver their various units for any APC candidates in the last elections. “While it is not necessary to duel on the rigorous grassroots campaign efforts of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege alongside some other leaders of the Delta State APC vis-a-vis the outcome of the elections, I need to state vividly that the 2023 general election in Delta State yielded unprecedented results that made Delta APC secure two out of the three Senatorial elections, one Federal Constituency election and seven State House of Assembly elections.

“As an house of assembly aspirant and the presidential/Gubernatorial coordinator of Ika north east local government area under the platform of our great party the All Progressives Congress (APC) we embarked on various pre-campaign activities including solidarity walks for His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, across the state. It is pertinent to note that, the funding of these activities came from distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and some other party leaders also during all our campaigns across the state Omo Agege openly appealed to Deltans with a loud voice to vote for Mr President.

“Those buying the blackmail from this set of helter-skelter politicians parading themselves as Delta APC members should demand their unit results in all the elections of 2023 to prove their commitments to the progress of the Party. It is my prayer that God will continue to open the eyes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to identify these vampires and show them the way out so that his government would have smooth sailing to the end”
