Agba Jalingo reacts as APC chieftain throws birthday party for C/River governor-elect, Prince Otu’s wife in London 

 

 

Agba Jalingo, a Nigerian investigative journalist and human rights activist, has reacted to the viral photos of Cross River State governor-elect, Prince Otu’s wife’s birthday celebration in London.

 

Jalingo, who reacted to the photos, advised the incoming First Lady to take some time off for the sake of her husband.

 

 

In a post made on his Facebook account, Jalingo said, “Otu’s Wife needs to resist, reject or pend some of these frivolous offers in the main time.”

 

He said:

 

“All our eyes are shifting from Ayade to Prince Otu and the incoming First Lady needs to help him succeed and not cast him negative headlines.”

London city stood still yesterday as the crème de la crème in London came out to honor Rev. Mrs Eyowan Bassey Otu the incoming First Lady and wife of the governor elect of cross river state as she turned a year older on Monday April 10th 2023.

 

The birthday party that started in the air on virgin Atlantic airline on her way to London yesterday afternoon crystalized at the China town restaurant, Mayfair London

 

China town restaurant is One of the most expensive restaurants in London inside the Dorchester hotel which is the most prestigious, most expensive and classiest hotel in London city.

 

Dorchester hotel is located on park lane, Mayfair London and is a hotel reserved for imperial majesties, emperors, kings and queens, the super rich and super famous in the world.

 

The lavish birthday dinner was organized, hosted and coordinated by the pride of Yala, the leader of leaders and one of Cross River state’s most humble yet most connected man around the world High Chief Higgins Peters.

Present in the dinner party were foreign dignitaries, ambassadors, crème de la crème of Nigerians in London

 

In attendance from Cross River State were her husband and soulmate, the Governor-Elect, Prince Edet Otu, Cross River State House of Assembly Majority Leader and Deputy Governor-Eelect, Hon. Peter Odey, the host and coordinator, High Chief Higgins Peters, entertainment celebrity manager, Ubi Franklin and other friends around the world.

“This press release smacks of gross insensitivity to the mood in the State and even around the country. The egotistic flaunting of affluence in the body language of this release was actually meant to achieve what?”

 

“Why didn’t the organizers of this birthday dinner do the same thing for Mrs Otu last year when she wasn’t wife of Governor-Elect?”

 

“The organizers of this party, to the best of my knowledge are some of the pillars of Governor Ayade’s failure who are scheming their way into the incoming government and Prince Otu has to be careful with them.”

 

“Holding a birthday party in a hotel reserved for royalties and celebs is not what exactly we want to see now from our incoming couple. That is too early in the day. Let us see the transmission of transition notes. We need to hear more hope and encouraging signals from them not the king’s palace and the slave cage optics.”
