This comes amid a noticeable trend, with the Central Bank of Nigeria announcing its intention to transfer some of its departments from Abuja to Lagos State.

The decision, as stated by a CBN official speaking anonymously to PUNCH, aims to decongest the apex bank’s head office.

Despite resistance from some staff members who claim tribal motivations, the source insists that the move is primarily for safety reasons and to enhance productivity.

News Week Nigeria had earlier reported that the federal government has relocated the headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to Lagos.

This was revealed in a memo signed by the Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku.
