The factional leader of Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, and his cohort have been chased out of the courtroom at the Presidential Election Petition tribunals.
In a widely circulated video obtained by NEWS WEEK NIGERIA, it was seen how the troubled factional leader took off his cap and held it in his hand as he was dragged from the courtroom by people who appeared to be Labour Party supporters and a police officer.
Apapa, who took off his cap and held it in his hand was seen being dragged like a baby in the video, while suspected supporters of Peter Obi were heard chanting “Ole,” meaning thief.
Soon after that , Julius Abure led Peter Obi into the courtroom with wild cheers from the people.
Recall that the factional leader of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, has few days ago called for the arrest of anyone who agitates for an interim government in Nigeria, including Peter Obi, the party’s candidate in the 2023 presidential election.
Some supporters of Obi, popularly called ‘Obidients’ have been calling for the suspension of the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s president on May 29, 2023, pending the determination of the electoral petitions filed by the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party to challenge Tinubu’s victory.
