Be careful of quiet people — Wike continues to lament, says Fubara quietness deceived him to him governor

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory and the immediate past governor of Rivers State, has vowed to continue to remain victorious in the ongoing power struggle in Rivers State

Wike’s statement comes amidst ongoing political tensions and a battle for supremacy in Rivers State.

Wike’s remarks were particularly directed at his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, whom he accused of deceiving him through his quiet nature to ascend to the governorship position.

During his speech, Wike didn’t shy away from taking jabs at other political figures, including former Governor Peter Odili and his wife, retired Justice Mary Odili. He criticized them as “hungry politicians” who have mismanaged their resources, resorting to begging for support.

Speaking further, the former governor rallied his loyalists within the Rivers State House of Assembly, encouraging them to stand firm and confront Governor Fubara’s administration without fear of intimidation.
