The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cast doubt on the political strategies of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
In a video message shared on Facebook, the cleric said he foresees obstacles that could frustrate whatever political plans the two influential figures are putting together.
“Peter Obi and Kwankwaso, I don’t know what you are planning, but I’m not sure that thing can work,” Ayodele said, adding that although both politicians enjoy large followings, their strategies might face both spiritual and political resistance.

According to him, political victories are not determined by popularity alone, but also by timing, strategy, and divine approval. He warned that overconfidence and miscalculation could derail even the most promising plans.
“Politics is beyond numbers; there are unseen forces that shape outcomes. They must be careful not to rely only on the crowd behind them,” he cautioned.
Primate Ayodele also noted that Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of 2027 is unpredictable, with shifting loyalties, surprise alliances, and internal party crises likely to play major roles.

He advised Obi and Kwankwaso to seek wise counsel, align their ambitions with the people’s needs, and pay attention to spiritual direction if they hope to succeed in the coming elections.
