ADC Debunks Fake Chairmen List Circulating On Social Media, Warns Against Online Registration Scams
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has firmly distanced itself from a list of purported State Chairmen currently circulating on social media, declaring it false and unauthorised.
In a public statement released on July 9, 2025, the party cautioned Nigerians against falling for misinformation and online fraud being perpetrated in its name.

The ADC expressed concern over the spread of fake news falsely linked to the party and urged the public to verify all information through official channels. Specifically, it advised Nigerians to rely on the verified X (formerly Twitter) handle of the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi (@BolajiADC), for authentic updates. Any announcements or claims not confirmed via this platform, the party warned, should be disregarded.
In the same statement, the ADC condemned the creation of fake online platforms claiming to offer party registration. It described these platforms as tools used by fraudsters to deceive and exploit unsuspecting citizens. The party urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and avoid making payments or engaging with unofficial sites.
The ADC reiterated its commitment to transparency and announced that all legitimate information about its activities, as well as those of the broader coalition of opposition political parties, would be communicated through proper and trusted avenues
