UNICROSS Hosts First-Ever International Conference on Communication and Science Tomorrow

 

 

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) is poised to make history with the launch of its inaugural international conference on the “Science of Communication and the Communication of Science.” 

 

The event is scheduled to begin tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the New Mass Communication Block on the university’s main campus in Calabar. The conference will run through Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Organized by the Department of Mass Communication, this two-day conference is expected to attract a diverse group of participants, including academics, media professionals, researchers, and science communicators from across Nigeria and beyond.

 

Dr. Emmanuel Inyang, Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, described the event as a groundbreaking initiative aimed at bridging the gap between science and society through effective communication. He emphasized that the conference would explore emerging trends, new research, and best practices in the fields of science communication, media engagement, and public understanding of science.
