‘U.S. Document Could Lead to Tinubu’s Arrest, End His Government’ — Cleric Warns

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the alleged impending release of an “American document,” claiming that its disclosure could expose the administration and potentially trigger moves to remove the President from office.

Ayodele gave the warning in a video shared on social media on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, where he urged Tinubu to make efforts to prevent the purported document from being released.

According to the cleric, the alleged document could have serious implications for the President and his administration.

«“This American document they want to bring out on Tinubu, I want to advise not based on ethnicity but for Nigeria to continue moving forward, for Nigeria priority Tinubu should do everything to stop the exposure of that document,” Ayodele said.»

He further claimed that the alleged disclosure could result in intervention by the United States, including possible moves against the President.

«“If they do that, the current administration can be intercepted or ended by America because they can come for arrest,” he said.»

However, Ayodele did not identify the document, disclose what it allegedly contains or provide evidence to support his claim that its release could lead to Tinubu’s arrest or the termination of his administration.

The cleric nevertheless appealed directly to the President to take steps to prevent the alleged document from becoming public.

«“I’m begging Tinubu to do everything possible to stop the release of the documents,” he said.»

Ayodele also alleged that some individuals within Tinubu’s political circle, alongside others outside the ruling party, were working together against the President.

“And who are those behind this, they’re the people that you trust, some are in your party, some are outside your party, it’s a serious gang up they want to use it to vacate you from office,” he alleged.

He warned the President not to underestimate what he described as a serious threat, maintaining that the alleged document could have significant political and personal consequences for Tinubu.
