What is Ali Kachalla ? 

Ali Kachalla, a known bandit commander operating along the Dansadau axis of the enormous Kuyambana Forest, has been charged with shooting down a Nigerian Air Force Alpha Jet.

According to the Daily Trust, the terror kingpin shot down the plane on June 18 with heavy weaponry.

Ali Kachalla, a smart terrorist with a base near Kuyambana, was said to be the brains of the massive plot, according to the news portal.

In the North-West, Kachalla is widely used as an honorific for bandit leaders. It was originally a chieftaincy title in the Kanuri language.

Men from Kachalla’s gang shot down a fighter plane in Kabaru village, some 15 kilometres west of Dansadau town.

While reacting to the event, NAF spokesman Edward Gabkwet stated that the aircraft was targeted while returning from an air interdiction mission between the states of Zamfara and Kaduna.

 

 

The NAF, on the other hand, did not provide a photo of the plane but did release photos of the pilot, Flight Lieutenant Abayomi Dairo, who successfully jumped from the plane.

According to another storey, shooting down the NAF plane was Kachalla’s most audacious act yet, although inhabitants of the impacted villages revealed that his name has been on their lips recently.
