The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has embarked on a working visit to Novosibirsk Agricultural University in Russia as part of efforts to strengthen educational and development cooperation between Ghana and Russia.

During her engagement with the university’s leadership, discussions centered on creating scholarship opportunities for Ghanaian students, particularly those from Salaga-South.

The proposed scholarship scheme will focus on critical disciplines such as engineering, agriculture, technology, and renewable energy—fields that hold immense potential for driving local and national development.

Beyond education, the talks also explored broader avenues of collaboration, including support for water infrastructure, agriculture, ICT development, and job creation initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods within the constituency.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera was joined on the trip by the MP for Nkoranza South and Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives, Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, who expressed optimism that the partnership would contribute significantly to addressing pressing socio-economic challenges in Ghana.
