Rivers Boil As Thugs Attack APC Governorship Candidate, Tonye Cole, Prevent Him From Inspecting BVAS 

Thugs suspected to be supporters of the PDP in Rivers State have attacked and prevented the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tonye Cole from Inspecting election materials, including the BVAS.

According to an eyewitness, Anusiem Princewill Ozioma, claimed that PDP and Touts block all routes to INEC office Aba Road over Court Injunction to Tonye Cole of APC to inspect all election Materials including the BVAS.

He said:

“GRA Junction is a hot zone as all banks: Zenith. GTbank, FCMB, Union Bank and Eco bank close suddenly shutdown for fear of attack.”

 

“PDP youths or hired youths who claimed to have won the state elections are preventing Cole and APC from having access to INEC office.”

 

“Cole on his way to INEC office was attacked by PDP demonstrators which lead to heavy gun battle and the environment thrown into running. 

 

“Till 4pm today Monday 3rd of April 2023, PDP has refused to unblock the roads including GRA and Waterline flyovers. PDP is so afraid to allow any party to have access to BVAS and INEC. I thought they won election peacefully and lawfully. 

 

“Nigeria is a country I did not beg to be born inside and I believe God who brought me to this beautiful country has a reason. I am OBIdiently believing God that a new Nigeria is POssible.”
