Plot for an interim government: we’ll occupy Nigeria if Tinubu is not sworn in — Shettima declares
Shettima has declared that if Bola Tinubu is not sworn in as Nigeria’s next president, they will occupy the country.
Yerima Shettima, the National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, has warned politicians strongly not to interfere with the transition of power to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president-elect.
Shettima claimed in an interview with News week-ng that if the current administration does not give over to Asiwaju, the Arewa Youth will occupy Nigeria. He stated that the association will thwart any attempts to undermine Nigeria’s upheld democracy.

He disclosed that military men who want to retake control are behind the plots for an interim administration. The sacrifices they made to bring democracy to Nigeria, he argued, must not have been in vain.
He claims that none of the individuals asking for an interim administration have given anything up for this nation. He declared unequivocally that Nigeria’s enemies will fail. Since the DSS claimed that certain politicians intended to install an interim administration, there has been a great deal of tension in the air.
Shettima said:
“Let’s wait and see what happens between now and May 29,” he remarked. Let’s wait and watch what happens if they don’t hand over to the President-elect. If they don’t surrender to him, we will invade and occupy this nation. They have never seen anything like what they are about to see. They shouldn’t make fun of us. We are committed to making sure that democracy prevails in this nation and is here to stay. No one could threaten this democracy. We won’t let those adversaries prevail. Once more, we’ll never.
