Iyanya has begged his Calabar people to return Mayorkun million dollars chain, NEWS WEEK NIGERIA reports.
The renowned Nigerian artist, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, appears to have had a negative encounter in Calabar.

Using his Instagram story and Twitter page, the former DMW signee expressed his displeasure with the state and declared that he would never perform there again.
Mayorkun did not elaborate further but sent a message to other artists scheduled to perform at festivals in Calabar, wishing them good luck.
Mayorkun wrote: “CALABAR, You’ll probably NEVER EVER see me again, good luck to the other artists coming for your festivals tho,”

Meanwhile, a Calabar-born musician, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, has pleaded with his Calabar people to return the chain and promised to compensate whoever returns the stolen chain.
He wrote: “My calabar people, this is very bad for the peaceful people I know us to be. The government has brought my colleagues to entertain you, all you owe them is protection and great hospitality. If you know anyone who stole from my brother , please return it and I will personally compensate you. Drop it at THE GRAND HOTEL 🏨 I will personally compensate you, PLEASE.”

Many commenters alleged that the singer’s chain was stolen during one of his performances in the state.

Mayorkun had previously expressed frustration about the poor state of Nigerian roads, particularly criticizing Nigerian senators for purchasing new SUVs instead of addressing the dire road conditions.
In response, Nigerian senators defended their SUV purchases, citing the need for such vehicles to navigate the country’s challenging road conditions.
On a brighter note, Mayorkun publicly confirmed his relationship by sharing photos and a video of his girlfriend on his verified Snapchat story.
