“Peter Obi Will Win Jesus Christ in a Free and Fair Election” — Obi’s Associate, MamaPee

A political associate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, identified as MamaPee, has claimed that Obi would defeat any political opponent in Nigeria if the 2027 election is free and fair.

MamaPee made the claim while commenting on the country’s political climate and the growing activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to her, Obi has the support and popularity needed to defeat any politician if the electoral process is conducted transparently.

“In a free and fair election, Peter Obi will win any politician right now in Nigeria that contests against him in a free and fair election,” she said.

She went further to make a provocative comparison, claiming that even Jesus Christ would lose to Obi if He contested against him in Nigeria.

“If Jesus comes to contest in this Nigeria politics, Obi will win. What are you people saying?” MamaPee said.

Her comments are likely to generate debate among supporters of the various political parties as preparations intensify for the 2027 presidential election.

Reacting to suggestions that Obi is merely playing a defensive role politically, MamaPee questioned what alternative was available to him given what she described as the overwhelming political pressure against him.

“Like, and it’s coming from people that have a voice, makes me wonder. Eh, Obi is playing defense. What should he play? Someone that the whole weight of government is against,” she said.

Obi, a former Anambra State governor, is expected to be one of the major contenders in the 2027 presidential election. His supporters have continued to campaign on issues including good governance, economic reform and electoral credibility.
