The Honorable Commissioner for Health, Cross River State, Dr. Henry Ajuk, recently paid a one day visit to General Hospital Ukem to assess the facility and inspect the posting of new health workers.
During his visit, he emphasized that with the employment of new health workers, the hospital will provide 24-hour services, and most of the structures will be fixed for staff accommodation and comfort, ensuring that all staff members are available to perform their duties.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Nursing, Mr. Coco-Bassey Esu, who accompanied the Honorable Commissioner, assured that the facility will be regularly visited to ensure staff availability on duty.
