Nigerian govt condemns murder of footballer in UK, demands justice

The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Wednesday condemned the alleged killing of a Nigerian footballer, Kelvin Igweani, by police in the United Kingdom.
Dabiri-Erewa reacted to the killing of the footballer in a press release issued by NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, in Abuja.
Igweani was shot lifeless by law enforcement officials who responded to a misery name by occupants of a constructing in the UK.

In a press release by the Thames Valley Police, officers had been referred to as to a property at Two Mile Ash North-West Milton Keynes on June 26 and made a compelled entry after appearing on data from a witness.

According to the police, the officers discovered a person in his 30s who was later confirmed lifeless and a younger little one with severe accidents once they entered the constructing.

The NiDCOM chief described the incident as unlucky.
She urged the British authorities to conduct an intensive and correct investigation into the incident.
Dabiri-Erewa condoled with the household of the deceased and the Nigerian neighborhood in the UK and prayed to God to relaxation the soul of the departed.
