The ADC, with former Governor Sen. Liyel Imoke at the helm, has become a magnet for politicians seeking a new platform to pursue their ambitions. The party’s formation has generated significant enthusiasm among Nigerians, with many seeing it as a viable alternative to the PDP and the ruling APC.

As the defections continue, the Suspended PDP state chairman, Hon. Vena Ikem, has issued a desperate warning to admins of PDP platforms, instructing them to delete ADC members from the party’s platforms. However, many admins have ignored the directive, and some have even spoken out against the chairman’s actions.

In an open letter, Mr Austin Ibok, one of the PDP leader has demanded that the state chairman apologize for the unjust removal of Sen. Liyel Imoke and Sen. Gershom Bassey from the party’s platform. The letter gives the chairman 48 hours to issue a public apology, failing which consequences will follow.

The PDP’s crisis is likely to deepen if the party leadership fails to address the concerns of its members. The defections to ADC may continue, and the party’s chances in future elections may be compromised. The PDP leadership must take urgent action to restore confidence in the party and prevent further losses.

“We are shocked and disappointed by the actions of the suspended state chairman, who seems determined to destroy the party from within. We demand that he apologizes for his actions and works to rebuild trust among party members. Failure to do so will have serious consequences for the party’s future.” Eng. Bassey Etim, a member of PDP stateed.

The ADC in Cross River State has welcomed the influx of new members, seeing it as a sign of the party’s growing popularity. The party’s leadership is confident that it will continue to attract politicians and supporters from across the state and country.
