JUST IN: PDP reacts as Court Sacks Edo Governorship candidate
The Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the judgment of the Federal Court, nullifying the primary election that produced Asue Ighodalo as its governorship candidate, as a mere distraction from elements who are scared of the soaring popularity of its candidate Dr Asue Ighodalo.
The party in a statement issued by its State Party Chairman, Tony Aziegbemi, said Asue Ighodalo remains the governorship candidate.

The statement read: “The PDP is aware that certain elements who are scared of the soaring popularity of our candidate Dr Asue Ighodalo are going about peddling rumors that the candidature of Dr Asue Ighodalo has been nullified.”
