JUST IN: INEC Resumes Uploading Results In Osun After Over 3-Hour Pause As Adeleke Maintains Lead

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the uploading of results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV) after a delay of more than three hours.

Checks by News Week Nigeria showed that the portal, which stopped receiving fresh uploads at about 8:48 p.m. on Saturday, began reflecting new polling unit results shortly after 11:45 p.m.

The prolonged pause in the uploading of results had sparked concern among party agents, election observers and voters who rely on the IReV portal to monitor the progress of the election and the collation of results across the state’s 30 local government areas.

The resumption of uploads is expected to provide fresh updates on results already submitted from polling units as the collation process continues.

The development comes amid heightened attention on the election, with stakeholders closely monitoring the results and awaiting the final declaration by the electoral commission.
