The senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He cited an irreconcilable and irreparable differences in the party as one of the reasons he resigned from the party.

Senator Fadahunsi made this disclosure in a personally signed resignation letter dated June 12, 2025.

The letter was submitted to Ward Party Chairman, Ward 4, Obokun local government area of Osun State.

I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect, due to the irreparable, irreconcilable differences and protracted legal battles that have bedeviled the party at the National level after the 2023 general elections.
