The decision by Dave Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State, to name the Ebonyi International Airport after President Muhammadu Buhari, has prompted a response from Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna State, News Week Nigeria reports.
The former lawmaker thanked Umahi for building the Ebonyi Airport in a tweet.

In a tweet on Thursday, Shehu Sani expressed his opinion that while the construction of the Ebonyi Airport is admirable, it is unethical and sycophantic to name two airports in the nation after Buhari

He wrote: “The Construction of Ebonyi Airport is commendable.Kudos.But It’s immoral & sycophantic to name two Airports in the country after Buhari.He should respectfully decline it.The Airport should rather be named after Chinua Achebe,Emeka Anyaokwu,Victoria Ironsi or the Ikemba himself.”
