"You all combined together are not 10% of what am made up off. Shame on you all. To the Okun people who stood behind Kogi Agenda, ignoring their brothers with fruitless mission, we shall pay back."
If I hear pim anywhere, I will deal with that person severely, to hell with you all —angry Yahaya Bello warns cabinet members
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has vowed that members of his cabinet who allegedly betrayed him during the November 11 governorship election in the state will not go unpunished.
The Governor accused some members of his cabinet of betrayal before and during the election.
Bello, who spoke during a closed-door meeting with stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja, was visibly angry and maintained that he would “cut off” even his fingers if they decided to hinder him from “going far.”
Bello further accused many of his allies of betraying him because of his choice of Usman Ododo as his successor.
Ododo was declared winner of the governorship election, beating off challenges from Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Social Democratic Party, SDP’s Muri Ajaka.
Bello described some of the so-called allies in unprintable names, saying they sold him out.
“If any of my fingers stand my way not to go far, I will cut it. To hell with anyone in my cabinet that said I disappointed him. I warned all of them, but those disgruntled element go contrary after everything I did for them”.
“I was fighting known enemies while enemies within are pulling me down. God punish you all. They said; if it can’t be me, then it can’t be Ododo. They are busy conniving and conspiring with opposition.”
“They call themselves leaders but misleading the people. You all are the idiots because I’m smart than all of you. They are busy collecting small small jarz, peddling lies. Shame on you all.”
“If I hear pim, I mean if I hear pim anywhere, or if any of you threaten your subordinate, I will dealth with you severely. Sen. Echocho! you are wrecked by your brothers & I revived you from financial bankruptcy. Today u are second term serving Senator.”
“You are laughing with us while you go behind to text opposition message to hinder our party from having 25% in some LGAs. As the Excecutive Governor of Kogi State, if I’m not well informed, I’m a failure. I have proved to you all that I outsmarted all of you.
“To all the 21 LG Chairmen, a questionnaire form will be served to you all. Those who benefitted the most are the enemies within causing problems. I virtually provide everything for them.”
“You all combined together are not 10% of what am made up off. Shame on you all. To the Okun people who stood behind Kogi Agenda, ignoring their brothers with fruitless mission, we shall pay back.”
“The genuine Igala’s that I know are not ingrates. Selfish leaders misled the people. New leaders shall emerge from the East. The transportation money meant for those that traveled home where siphoned.”
“Edward I warn you, I cautioned you. Those of you that connived and conspired, you have shown yourself to the world, the product you are made of.”
“Shame on you all,” he said.
Bello warned that if he ever heard the “leaders” threaten any of their subordinates, he would deal with them severely.
The Governor pointed a direct finger at a Senator from the state whom he said was “wrecked” by his brothers before he (Governor Bello) revived him from his alleged financial bankruptcy.
“Today, you are a second-term serving senator. You were laughing with us while you went behind to text opposition messages to hinder our party from having 25 per cent in some local governments,” he added.
