Gov Otu Celebrates Shettima at 60, Says Cross River Values His Support

Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a loyal, dependable and reliable partner to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Otu, in a goodwill message conveyed by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Ironbar, praised Shettima for his courage, competence and commitment to public service, saying his experience has continued to strengthen the Tinubu administration.

According to the governor, the strong working relationship between President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima has been instrumental to the administration’s efforts to address the country’s challenges, promote economic growth and improve the welfare of Nigerians.

Otu also highlighted Shettima’s experience as a former governor and senator, noting that his understanding of governance and national affairs has made him a valuable asset to both the President and Nigeria.

The Cross River governor further acknowledged the support and goodwill extended to the state by President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, particularly their responsiveness to the state’s development needs.

He said the cordial relationship between Cross River State and the Presidency had created opportunities for increased collaboration and development, adding that his administration remained committed to the Renewed Hope vision of the Federal Government.

“On behalf of the government and people of Cross River State, I warmly congratulate Your Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, on your 60th birthday.

“Your years in public service have demonstrated loyalty, courage, competence and an enduring commitment to Nigeria. As Vice President, you have remained a dependable partner to our Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and a strong contributor to the success of the Renewed Hope Administration,” Otu said.

The governor expressed appreciation to the Vice President for his support and encouragement towards Cross River State, particularly his willingness to listen to the state’s aspirations and engage with its development priorities.

“As you mark this important milestone, I pray that Almighty Allah will grant you continued good health, wisdom and strength, and bless you with many more years of impactful service to our nation.

“May you continue to contribute to the peace, unity, prosperity and development of Nigeria,” he added.

Governor Otu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Tinubu-Shettima administration and supporting initiatives aimed at advancing the development of Cross River State and Nigeria.

He wished the Vice President many more years of good health, wisdom and distinguished service to the nation.
