Galadima Ambassadors Dump APC, Join ADC Coalition Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Galadima Ambassadors, a prominent grassroots political support group in Nasarawa State, has officially collapsed its structure into the African Democratic Congress (ADC), marking a major boost to the party’s ongoing coalition drive.
The decision was reached during an emergency leadership meeting, where the group unanimously resolved to abandon the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and align with the ADC, which has recently emerged as a rallying platform for opposition forces seeking to challenge APC dominance nationwide.

The Galadima Ambassadors are well-known for championing the senatorial ambition of ESV Dr. Umar Musa Galadima, also known as Galadiman Marmara, for the Nasarawa West Senatorial District. Comprising youth leaders and political stakeholders from across the five local government areas of the district, the group has played a crucial role in grassroots mobilization over the years.
Dr. Galadima, a respected traditional titleholder and former PDP senatorial candidate, is widely viewed as a top contender for the 2027 Senate race. His popularity stems from his track record of philanthropy, community development efforts, and unwavering influence in Nasarawa West.
Speaking to the press on the group’s decision, Barr. Kabir Abubakar Dogara and Ms. Mariya Khalid, both leaders of the forum, cited the prolonged internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a major reason for their defection. They urged Dr. Galadima to follow suit by formally dumping the PDP and embracing the ADC.

“We believe the ADC presents the most hopeful platform for the Nigerian masses. It guarantees peace, security, and socioeconomic development, which the current ruling party has failed to deliver,” said Dogara.
Khalid added, “Only a united and promising opposition, like the ADC, can conveniently unseat the devastating APC and redirect the nation toward progress.”
The group’s move is seen as a major strategic win for the ADC coalition, which has in recent weeks attracted a growing number of high-profile politicians, support groups, and disenchanted party structures from both the APC and PDP.

Political observers say the realignment in Nasarawa State mirrors a broader trend of shifting allegiances nationwide, as the battle lines begin to form ahead of the 2027 elections.
With the Galadima Ambassadors now firmly in its camp, the ADC is poised to strengthen its influence in Nasarawa West and bolster its chances of fielding a strong candidate, especially if Dr. Galadima officially defects.
