Fresh documents Links Sandy Onor, Wike’s Lawyer, Other Cronies to Alleged Abuja Land Grabbing Scandal

Newly uncovered documents from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) have implicated key allies of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike in an alleged land-grabbing scheme in Abuja.

The revelations spotlight Wike’s personal lawyer, Ferdinand Orbih, former Cross River State PDP governorship candidate Sandy Onor, and others allegedly using front companies to reallocate revoked lands for personal gain.

Sources allege that Wike has been using ALEED Construction Limited and another company, Saravera Nigeria Limited, as fronts to seize and reallocate lands revoked under his authority in the FCT. These actions have reportedly displaced numerous residents, prompting public outrage and calls for an investigation.

Critics claim that Wike’s associates, including Chinda and contractor Adapoyi Akor, have been pivotal in this alleged scheme. Akor is said to have executed major projects in Rivers State during Wike’s tenure as governor and is currently involved in constructing judges’ quarters.

Pressure for Accountability

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) is reportedly under pressure to investigate Wike and Chinda for potential violations of the Code of Conduct Act. Advocacy groups, including the Southern Leaders Council, have demanded that President Bola Tinubu intervene and order an audit of all lands revoked and reallocated under Wike’s administration.

The documents showed that Chinda is both a serving director in the company and a shareholder with eight million (8,000,000) shares.

The CAC documents showed that ALEED Construction Limited was registered on May 14, 1997 with a registration number 307460 and address at Agbada II, Shell Oil Location Road, Igwuruta, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as a private company limited by shares.

The company was registered “To carry on business as building contractors, suppliers of building materials and to engage in road, bridge, and other construction works such as housing, hospitals, schools, recreation houses, hotels, water dams or railway recovery and maintenance services thereof and property development.

“To engage in electrical works such as installation and reticulation of any kind and suppliers of electrical spare parts.”

“So people’s lands are revoked and re-allocated back to Wike’s interest using his private lawyers, aides and confidants as fronts.

“The President needs to audit all land revocation and re-allocation in FCT and he will see the dirty deals. Before Abuja lands finish, it is time to audit,” a source said.

SaharaReporters learnt that already, the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) is under pressure to investigate Chinda and Wike for land racketeering as calls have been going to President Bola Tinubu to probe the land matters.

“The Southern leaders council wants CCB to arrest Wike, Chinda over the leaked evidence of abuse of office, land racketeering and violation of the Code of Conduct Act. They are also demanding that President Tinubu should prosecute the duo and the House of Reps must suspend Chinda,” a source had revealed to SaharaReporters.

“This is a documentary evidence of how Wike revokes innocent people’s lands like late Colonel Ogbebor and reallocates to himself using front companies managed and owned by his confidant, Kingsley Chinda, a sitting House of Reps member in violation of the Code of Conduct law and one Adapoyi, his agent,” the source added.

Top sources in the FCT Administration (FCTA) called for a probe and audit of all the lands revoked so far by Wike and reallocated.

“This is to unearth the dirty scandals like this Saravera company owned by Chinda and Adapoyi and used in cornering illegally revoked lands,” the source added.

SaharaReporters learnt that the second director in the company allegedly used for hijacking illegally revoked lands is Adapoyi Akor who also was used to execute most projects in Rivers State during Wike’s administration.

He is also said to be the contractor handling the present construction of judges quarters.

Another company in the land grabbing scandal is Garden City Mall, Port-Harcourt which is alleged to have ties with Wike.

“Nigerians are watching to see how DSS and President Tinubu will handle this smelly FCT land scam to either confirm or disapprove the rumour by Wike camp that the president is part of everything they do with peoples lands and his people are also beneficiaries,” another source queried.

SaharaReporters on Wednesday reported that residents of the Life Camp area in the Federal Capital Territory cried out in response to Wike’s revocation of their land interests.
