Chief Jedy-Agba, a former senatorial aspirant and ex-officio member of the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC), reportedly made his intention known during a closed-door meeting with political ward leaders in his hometown of Utugwang, Obudu Local Government Area.
Recall that the rumour of his defection has been making the rounds since the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey paid a surprised visit to his Abuja residence few weeks ago.

It was gathered that the Deputy Governor’s mission was to convince the PDP leader to lead his supporters to the APC.

His defection will be a significant breakthrough for the APC in its effort to break PDP’s dominance in Utugwang.
A source who pleaded not to be mentioned said that , “I can confirm that I was part of the meeting and our leader in Utugwang Central, Prince Kjay is leaving the PDP. He told us categorically that the umbrella is no longer providing us the shelter it once did therefore, he’s leaving. I won’t say further but I know many of us will be moving with him because like I said, he’s our leader.”
When contacted, Kjay, a crown Prince and one of the sons of the late longest serving monarch in Nigeria, Uti J.D Agba said that he’ll make public, whatever political decision he has taken in due course.
