Ebonyi Governor Increases Salaries of Medical Doctors in State General Hospitals from 150k to 500k

 

 

 

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has reportedly approved a significant salary increase for newly-employed medical doctors working in the state’s General Hospitals.

 

 

According to a social media post by GistLovers Blog, the monthly salary has been raised from N150,000 to a minimum of N500,000.

Governor Nwifuru, who assumed office in 2023, has previously emphasized his administration’s commitment to strengthening the health sector and improving working conditions for medical personnel in Ebonyi State.

If confirmed, the salary adjustment would mark a substantial improvement in the welfare of health workers in Ebonyi State, potentially attracting more qualified personnel to work in rural and underserved areas of the state.
