“Don’t Bother Coming Home” — Wike Loyalist Nwanosike Warns Amaechi, Threatens to Take Battle to His Bedroom

A former chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State and loyalist of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Samuel Nwanosike, has warned former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, against returning to the state, saying the political battle ahead of the 2027 elections would be taken to his “bedroom.”

Nwanosike made the statement in a viral video recorded at a political event, where he warned Amaechi and his political allies that the confrontation would go beyond the streets.

According to him, Amaechi, who served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, governor and later Minister of Transportation, allegedly failed to adequately support the people of Ikwerre despite receiving their political backing.

Nwanosike said Amaechi had benefited significantly from the support of the Ikwerre people but allegedly turned against some of his former political allies.

“Amaechi was in the House of Assembly two times, Ikwerre people supported him to be governor two times and he was a minister for two tenures.

“Instead of helping the Ikwerre people, he decided to destroy even his friends. Yet he believes that it’s only him that is from the Ikwerre Local Government,” he said.

Nwanosike further warned Amaechi and members of his political camp not to return to Rivers State until the Supreme Court determines which faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) should be recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“We are here to tell the world and his political faction that until the Supreme Court decides which faction of the ADC is to be recognized by INEC, they should not bother coming home.

“We will bring the battle to their bedroom, not the street,” Nwanosike said.

The remarks have drawn a reaction from Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, an ally of Amaechi and chieftain of the ADC, who dismissed the threat as empty political rhetoric.

Eze condemned Nwanosike’s choice of words, arguing that threats and inflammatory language would not guarantee electoral victory for the former council chairman or his political allies.

“Nwanosike’s gutter language only portrays him from where he is coming from – the nature of the useless politics he learnt from his master, Nyesom Wike,” Eze said.

He accused Nwanosike and Wike’s political camp of believing that violence was necessary to win elections, insisting that Rivers voters would ultimately determine the outcome of the 2027 poll.

Eze added that Amaechi’s political camp was prepared to confront what he described as attempts to undermine Rivers State and its people.

“Amaechi brought them up politically and his political family will know how to dismantle all their vicious and evil plot against Rivers State and her people,” he said.

The latest exchange adds to the growing political tension in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections, with rival camps linked to Wike and Amaechi already positioning themselves for the contest.

The dispute also comes amid an ongoing legal and political disagreement over the leadership of the ADC, with different factions laying claim to control of the party.

As the 2027 elections draw closer, the escalating rhetoric between the rival camps is expected to remain a major feature of Rivers State politics.
