The Cross River State Government, under the leadership of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Odey, undertook a strategic tour of Yala LGA. The tour is designed to deepen engagement with the men, women, and youths of the LGA, assessing their needs, while inspecting ongoing road construction projects in Ukelle and Okpoma to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Speaking at the various points of engagement, the Deputy Governor reiterated the commitment of the administration of His Excellency, Governor Bassey Edet Otu, to building a People-First Government that listens, responds, and delivers tangible results. He noted that the tour demonstrates the government’s resolve to bring governance closer to the people by interfacing directly with traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, and other critical stakeholders.
