City Boy Movement to Hold Massive Rally in Support of Tinubu, Otu, APC Candidates in OBO Federal Constituency

The City Boy Movement (CBM) is set to hold a massive grassroots rally in the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku (OBO) Federal Constituency of Cross River State in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Bassey Edet Otu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The rally, convened by Chief Martha Agba, Ph.D., National Director of Support Group, City Boy Movement, is expected to attract APC leaders, stakeholders, youths, women, community leaders and thousands of supporters from Obudu, Bekwarra and Obanliku Local Government Areas.

The event is expected to serve as a major platform for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with participants expected to demonstrate their support for President Tinubu, Governor Otu, Deputy Governor Peter Odey and other APC candidates seeking elective positions.

According to the organisers, the rally will also promote unity among APC supporters across the OBO Federal Constituency while encouraging greater participation in the political process and strengthening engagement between political leaders and residents.

Chief Martha Agba is expected to use the gathering to advance the City Boy Movement’s message of political inclusion, grassroots mobilisation and empowerment, particularly among youths and women.

Beyond political mobilisation, the rally is expected to provide residents with an opportunity to interact with political stakeholders, express their concerns and aspirations, and discuss issues affecting their communities.

The City Boy Movement has continued to expand its grassroots network across communities, with a focus on encouraging citizens, especially youths and women, to take an active role in the democratic process.

The organisers described the OBO rally as more than a political gathering, saying it would demonstrate grassroots solidarity and collective commitment to the APC and its candidates.

Supporters across Obudu, Bekwarra and Obanliku have been urged to turn out in large numbers and participate in the movement’s campaign for greater political engagement under the theme: “Engage! Inform!! Empower!!!”

With the expected participation of political leaders, stakeholders and supporters from across the federal constituency, the rally is projected to be a significant grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
