Wike and His Political Son, Sim Fubara Fight Dirty As Outgoing Governor Withhold Release of Funds for Inauguration
News Week Nigeria has learned that the governor-elect of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, and the outgoing governor Nyesom Wike have fallen out just ten days before the May 29, 2023, inauguration.
The rift, according to AIF Media, is the result of the two disagreeing over the Party’s (People’s Democratic Party) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

According to a source who spoke to AIF Media, Wike is furious that Fubara invited Atiku and other PDP leaders who are thought to be his rivals to the May 29 inauguration in Port Harcourt without getting his approval.
The source claimed that when confronted, Fubara told his close aides he didn’t want to inherit the enemies of the departing governor and didn’t want to start waging political battles early in his term.
He chose to make amends with the party’s national and state leaders, which the Port Harcourt hit man didn’t appreciate.
