BREAKING: Trump Secretly Flown from Turkey to UK Over Fear of Assassination After US Detected Iranian Missile Threat

United States President Donald Trump was secretly moved from Turkey to Britain on July 8 after US intelligence detected what officials described as a credible threat involving a surface-to-air missile targeting Air Force One.

The covert operation, carried out during the NATO summit in Ankara, was detailed in reports published by The Washington Post and The New York Times on Tuesday, August 11.

White House communications director Steve Cheung confirmed that heightened security measures were used during Trump’s movement, saying the administration employs every available tool to protect the president.

“As the president has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats,” Cheung said.

According to US officials familiar with the intelligence, Iranian operatives were aware of where Trump was staying in Ankara, including the floor of the building where he was located.

US intelligence reportedly picked up multiple indications of a specific threat against Air Force One as Trump prepared to leave Turkey on the final day of the NATO summit.

Officials also said a person near the summit venue had been seen carrying a shoulder-fired missile, further raising concerns over the president’s safety.

Trump initially boarded the older Air Force One in full view of television cameras after saying he would use the aircraft “for old time’s sake.”

However, he was later secretly transferred to a smaller C-32A military aircraft, a modified Boeing 757 commonly used by the US vice-president.

The transfer was reportedly carried out using an airport catering truck. The truck was raised to the aircraft’s level on the opposite side from where Trump had boarded, allowing the president to leave Air Force One without being detected.

Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly boarded the C-32A separately using external stairs, helping to make the movement appear routine.

Meanwhile, journalists travelling with the president and some White House staff remained aboard the older Boeing 747, unaware that Trump had already left the aircraft.

The press corps was reportedly instructed to keep the plane’s window shades closed during the flight to RAF Mildenhall in Britain.

When reporters questioned Trump about the closed shades, he reportedly joked that they were “probably on a dangerous flight.”

“But if I go, you go. Right?” Trump added.

The covert aircraft carrying Trump arrived in Britain at about 10:20pm local time. He was subsequently transferred back to the older presidential aircraft before publicly disembarking at approximately 10:56pm.

The elaborate decoy operation was designed to prevent anyone monitoring the president’s movements from knowing which aircraft was carrying him out of Turkey.

The reports have highlighted the level of security concerns surrounding Trump during the NATO summit, with US officials treating the alleged missile threat as serious enough to warrant a highly unusual change to the president’s travel arrangements.
