Eyewitnesses recounted that the unfortunate incident transpired while four individuals, including the pastor, were engaged in prayers within the church building.

 

 

In a sudden and devastating turn of events, the structure gave way, resulting in the tragic loss of life.

 

Fortunately, the other three individuals managed to escape the wreckage, although the incident had a wider impact than just within the church’s walls.

When reached for comment, Anene Sewuese Catherine, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, stated that she had not been made aware of the incident at the time.

 

Nevertheless, police operatives from the C Division, North Bank, swiftly mobilized and were already present at the scene, working in tandem with emergency response teams who were en route to provide assistance.
