Three Ex-Reps Members, Former Senator, and SSG Dump PDP for ADC Coalition in Katsina
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition has recorded a significant boost as four prominent political figures in Katsina State officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join its ranks.
The defectors include three former members of the House of Representatives, a former senator, and a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Their defection is seen as a strategic move that could alter the political dynamics in the North-West region, traditionally dominated by the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sources within the coalition revealed that the politicians were drawn to the ADC’s growing momentum and vision to build a formidable alliance capable of unseating President Bola Tinubu and the APC-led government in the 2027 elections.
“The ADC coalition is becoming the rallying point for true opposition and progressive minds,” a senior ADC official in Katsina told reporters. “These are tested leaders with grassroots influence, and their decision to join us is a testament to the fact that Nigerians are tired of the status quo.”
