BREAKING: Senator Ningi Joins ADC After Resigning from PDP 

Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), days after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), bringing an end to more than 20 years of membership in the opposition party.

The senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District was formally presented with his ADC membership card shortly after announcing his departure from the PDP, a move that has continued to generate political reactions within Bauchi State and beyond.

Ningi had disclosed his resignation in a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ningi Ward in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. In the letter, the lawmaker explained that his decision came after extensive consultations with political allies, supporters, and stakeholders across his constituency.

Describing the move as one of the most difficult decisions of his political career, the senator said he took the step after careful reflection on the current political realities and the future direction of his political journey.

Although Ningi did not publicly outline detailed reasons for leaving the PDP, political observers believe the development may reshape the political landscape in Bauchi State ahead of future electoral contests.
