Former presidential candidate Peter Obi and former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso have been advised to quickly leave the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) amid growing concerns that the party could face deregistration following a legal challenge.
The warning comes after reports that Umar Ardo has initiated court action challenging the registration of the party, a development that has raised fresh uncertainty about the future of the NDC.
In a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, a commentator identified as Hamma urged both politicians to act swiftly, suggesting they have limited time to make a political decision.

“If you have ears of Obi and Kwankwaso they should quickly move to another party o,” he wrote.
He further claimed that the party is facing serious legal risks, adding:
“This NDC has serious case of possibly being deregister, furthermore the issue with their National Legal adviser too.”

According to him, the duo “still have 5 days to run to another party before doors are closed,” though he did not provide further details on the basis of the deadline.
