The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the suspension of key officials believed to be loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Among those affected are Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s National Secretary, and Kamaldeen Ajibade, the National Legal Adviser. Others suspended include Okechukwu Osuoha, Deputy Legal Adviser, and Umaru Bature, the National Organising Secretary.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed the decision during a press conference held on Saturday in Abuja.

According to Ologunagba, the action followed an emergency meeting of the NWC convened to review recent developments within the party and address alleged anti-party activities linked to some top officials.
While details of the allegations were not immediately disclosed, sources within the party hinted that the suspensions may be connected to growing internal divisions between the camp loyal to Wike and the main PDP leadership.
The party said further information on the disciplinary actions and subsequent steps would be made public in due course.
