Lifeless Body Found Inside Car at National Assembly Complex
A decomposed body was on Sunday discovered in a vehicle parked outside the annex gate of the National Assembly complex, Abuja, sparking concern among staff and security personnel.
The deceased, identified as 55-year-old Gaddafi Iwar, was said to be a Tiv man and reportedly worked as a labourer at an ongoing construction site within the complex.

According to sources, Iwar’s body was found motionless inside a red Peugeot 406 with registration number BWR-577 BF at about 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 7.
His remains were initially evacuated to the National Assembly Clinic for confirmation and later transferred to Asokoro General Hospital. However, the hospital reportedly rejected the body due to the advanced stage of decomposition.
Faced with the health risks posed by the situation, leaders of the Tiv community, alongside youth representatives, eventually conveyed the body to Gbawu Village, a border town between Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and Kuje Area Council, where he was laid to rest.
