BREAKING: Osun APC Candidate Oyebamiji Declares Himself Incoming Governor

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has declared himself the incoming governor of the state, expressing confidence in victory at the August 15 governorship election.

Oyebamiji made the declaration during an Arise Television town hall meeting featuring governorship candidates ahead of Saturday’s election.

The APC candidate outlined his plans for the state, promising to tackle poverty and hunger while prioritising security, agriculture, education, healthcare and human capital development if elected.

He said his administration would focus on improving the welfare of residents across the state, regardless of where they live, stressing that governance must extend to every community rather than being concentrated in specific areas.

Oyebamiji also pledged greater investment in agriculture, education and healthcare as part of measures to improve living standards and create opportunities for residents.

Responding to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s allegation that the Federal Government could deploy “federal might” to influence the election, Oyebamiji said he had not seen evidence of such a plan during his campaign.

According to him, he had visited all 30 local government areas in the state three times and interacted with party members, community leaders, artisans, lawyers, traders and civil servants.

He said the consultations had strengthened his belief that Osun residents were ready for a change of government.

Oyebamiji further disclosed that he had inaugurated canvassers across the state to mobilise support for his candidacy ahead of the election.

He maintained that his expected victory would be determined by the electorate rather than political influence, insisting that the people of Osun would decide who governs them.

“I am coming into this election as the incoming governor of Osun State,” Oyebamiji declared.
