Nigerian Senate confirms Betta Edu for appointment as Minister
The Nigerian Senate on Monday approved the nomination of former National Women Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Betta Edu, for appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Recall that Dr. Betta Edu was among the first batch of ministerial nominees submitted to the Senate for screening by President Bola Tinubu.

Meanwhile, in another news, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Comrade Mfam Asu, has slammed Maurice Etta over his recent campaign of falsehood against former APC National Women Leader and Ministerial Nominee, Dr. Betta Edu.
Asu, in a press statement issued on Monday, on behalf of the Coalition of Concerned Members of APC in Cross River State, wonders why he (Maurice Etta) who contributed nothing to the victory of President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is the one shamelessly moving around to cast aspersions on Dr. Betta Edu.
Comrade Asu, who cautioned Maurice Etta to desist from peddling falsehood against Betta Edu, maintained that the nomination of Dr. Betta Edu as minister is the best gift Mr. President gave to the youth of Cross River State.

He went further to demand the immediate withdrawal of his petition and tender an unreserved public apology to Dr. Betta Edu for attempting to tarnish the hard earned reputation of a woman who has brought so much pride to Cross River State.
