Former PDP G-5 Governor Officially Dumps Party for APC

Former Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a major political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ugwuanyi, who served as governor from 2015 to 2023, was a key member of the PDP in the South East and one of its longest-serving political figures. His defection marks another significant blow to the opposition party, which has recently witnessed a wave of high-profile exits across the country.
