In a statement released by Inyali Peter, a media associate of the former minister, Jedy Agba firmly refuted any political aspirations, describing the reports as entirely unfounded.
“The attention of former Minister of State, Power, Dr. Goddy Jedy-Agba, CON, has been drawn to speculations and posters suggesting his interest in the Cross River North Senatorial district election in 2027,” the statement read. “The leader states categorically that these claims are baseless and the posters did not originate from him. Dr. Jedy-Agba has no intention of running for the Senate or any political office in 2027.”

The statement went on to urge the public to disregard the speculations and allow the former minister to continue his life outside of the political spotlight.
“Having served the country meritoriously, Dr. Jedy-Agba has returned to his private business and should be allowed to live his private life without unnecessary speculation,” it concluded.
