A former Enugu State SSG has been kidnapped
A former Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Dr. Dan Shere has been kidnapped.
Punchnewsng learnt that he’s amongst a number of different commuters kidnapped alongside the Enugu-Ugwuogo Nike-Nsukka Road on Thursday

Shere, a medical physician, served below the administration of former Governor, Chimaroke Nnamani.
A supply informed our correspondent that the Enugu politician was travelling to Nsukka for a gathering when the gunmen attacked him alongside different travellers.
One of the survivors, who shared a video of the assault, stated the gunmen had been about eight in quantity.

“They shot severally at our vehicle; one of us was hit by the bullets. But our driver managed to move on. We succeeded in taking the victim to the hospital,” he narrated whereas thanking God for saving him and 4 others from the identical group.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the abductors, who’re stated to be Fulani herdsmen, have elevated their ransom demand on these they earlier picked on Sunday.
“They earlier demanded the sum of N2m on one of the victims but they have now increased it to N30m. They search the phones of the victims to know their status,” the supply stated.
