Former Deputy Senate President Omo-Agege Set to Dump APC
Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, is reportedly preparing to exit the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a move that could reshape the political landscape in Delta State.
Sources close to the former lawmaker say his decision is closely linked to the recent defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, who officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the APC earlier this week.

The defection also triggered a mass mobilization effort, as all appointed government officials and PDP executives at the ward, local government, and state levels have been directed to begin the process of obtaining APC membership cards.

While Omo-Agege has not made a public statement, political analysts suggest the former Senate leader may be uncomfortable with Oborevwori’s entry into the APC, potentially viewing it as a challenge to his influence within the party.
