Another APC member has resigned from the presidential campaign council of Bola Tinubu

 

All seems not to be well with the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) as defections by key party members continue unabated with the latest being the resignation from the party of a Member, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and Assistant Secretary of the North Central Directorate of Mobilization of the Campaign Council, Ambassador Ahmed Musa Ibeto.

Ibeto, a Former Deputy Governor and Former Nigeria Ambassador to South Africa dumped the party on Tuesday, sighting among other things, a lack of unity of purpose among party members and stakeholders as his reason for dumping the ruling party.

The Former in a letter of resignation dated February 3, 2023 and addressed to the Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC), Ibeto Central Ward, Magama local government, Niger State, said he is not only leaving the party but also resigning his membership of the APC presidential campaign council and Secretary of the North Central Directorate of Mobilization of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign Council.

Ibeto is the second PCC member to resign in 72 Hours.

Recall a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council from Borno State, Zanna Bukar Ali also announced his resignation from the campaign council.

Bukar who was a member of the campaign council under the directorate of youth mobilization said he can no longer be a part of the council due to a conflict of interest.

The Borno politician in a letter dated January 1, 2023, and addressed to the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC, James Faleke stressed that he is withdrawing from all APC Presidential Support Groups, and all other APC Support Groups that are campaigning for the party’s candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima due to the inability of the APC to present credible candidates for the election.
