Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, the founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries, has recently come under intense scrutiny after being accused of engaging in questionable practices involving the sale of so-called spiritual items.
The controversy erupted after a prominent online critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), exposed the preacher’s alleged sale of “cash flow ATM cards” for $20.

VDM, a well-known social media personality, has been vocal in his criticism of Prophet Jeremiah, labeling his actions as fraudulent.
According to reports, the preacher had previously marketed items such as miracle soap and water, claiming they had spiritual benefits. However, following public backlash spearheaded by VDM and others online, Prophet Jeremiah reportedly halted the sale of these items.
In a video response, VDM highlighted that despite the cessation of sales of the miracle soap and water, Prophet Jeremiah has introduced new spiritual items for sale. One of these items, the “I Must Carry My Samuel” apple, is reportedly being sold for $12 (approximately ₦20,000), which has sparked further outrage among critics.

VDM has called for an investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Police Force National Cyber Crime Center (NPF-NCCC) into the activities of Prophet Jeremiah.
He argued that the preacher’s products, if legitimate, should carry a National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) identification number, implying that these spiritual items may not meet legal and safety standards.
