Again, Court Stops PDP from gathering anywhere in Rivers to hold Ward, LG, State Congresses
Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has restrained the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from holding Congress in Rivers State.
Justice Charles Nwali in his ruling, restrained the PDP, its National Chairman, Amb. Damagum and National Secretary, Senator Anyanwu and others listed in the 2nd and 3rd sets as defendants or their agents from gathering anywhere in Rivers State to hold Ward, LGA, and State congresses of the PDP pending the hearing and determination of the suit before him which he adjourned to 1st of August 2024.
It also ordered the IGP, Commissioner of Police Rivers State, Director-General State Security Service and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps to ensure the order is adhered to.
