BREAKING: Adeleke Wins Seven LGAs, Oyebamiji One in Osun Governorship Election

Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has won seven of the eight local government areas whose results have so far been announced in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

His closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won one local government area.

The results were announced in the early hours of Sunday by the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, at the State Collation Centre in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Ogunwole, who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, announced the results as the collation exercise continued.

According to the results declared so far, Adeleke secured victories in Ife North, Ede South, Boluwaduro, Ila, Ife Central, Ifedayo and Ilesa West, while Oyebamiji won Ilesa East.
