ADC Appoints Former Buhari Minister Usani Usani as Assistant National Chairman
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the appointment of Hon. Usani Uguru Usani, a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, as its new Assistant National Chairman.
The appointment, which was confirmed by the party’s leadership on Tuesday, is seen as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Usani, who previously served under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, also contested as a governorship aspirant in Cross River State. His wealth of experience in public service and politics is expected to bring added value to the ADC’s national leadership.
In a brief statement, the party said Usani’s appointment was in line with its vision to strengthen its structure and widen its political reach across the country.
“Hon. Usani brings with him a track record of leadership, political experience, and commitment to national development. We are confident that he will play a vital role in advancing the goals and values of the ADC,” the statement read.
